What is Lifestyle Living?
Traditional assumptions about where we live and how we live are being challenged. Old models for life/work balance, consumption and values are being redefined. Lifestyle Living is responding to the need for change and creating new urban living solutions that meet community demands in a thoughtful, equitable and sustainable form.
With Lifestyle Living, Stable is evolving residential solutions that overcome the cultural barriers created by conservative approaches to highrise apartment living.
The vertical village is Lifestyle Living’s contemporary interpretation of the European village where exterior surfaces conceal private neighbourhoods, intimate gathering places and collaborative spaces.
Stable now shares its vision with the wider development community and investment partners as sustainable, replicable packages designed to meet demands for thoughtful changes to the built environment.
How We Work
Stable has partnered with award-winning architects, interior designers, landscape designers and artists. This convergence of like-minded visionaries is creating more urban living solutions designed to bring people closer together while affording privacy within their private domain.
Lifestyle Living evolves integrated solutions where traditional assumptions are challenged in environmentally sustainable buildings which break down the barriers created by traditional highrise architectural practice.
Through Stable IMS (Integrated Management Services), our property management arm, we also offer ongoing building management.

Stable is the concept creators and development managers of Triptych, the first physical manifestation of Lifestyle Living’s Vertical Village principles. From first glimpse of its exterior façade which is a collaboration between acclaimed artist Robert Owen, and the design team, including Nettleton Tribe the building’s architects, Triptych is clearly something radically different.
Located on a triangular site on the corner of Kavanagh and Fanning Streets, in Melbourne’s famous arts precinct, Triptych shuns conventional thinking.
It will offer the perfect abode for residents who want to make the most of living in the centre of city’s thriving arts community. Each three levels of living within Triptych are grouped in a cluster, or ‘village’. Each village space features a stunning internal garden via a living green wall that grows through the building, filtering light and air as it extends upwards. Reminiscent of European living, these welcoming open spaces will help create sense of community rarely seen in inner city living.
Another of Triptych’s priorities is to ensure that its impact on the environment is kept to a minimum. From choice of building materials through to generating electricity, building an environmentally sustainable building has always been paramount.
Among the most significant initiatives is co-generation, an efficient means of hot water and power generation which recycles the waste product, heat, for heating the building. Water harvesting and using cross flow ventilation for cooling are also major factors in Triptych’s small environmental footprint.
Research
Lifestyle Living approach is the result of in-depth research which shows the community is searching for sustainable buildings, which use new technology to save energy and water to preserve resources for the future. Research also shows that many people are also seeking a realigned balance of living and working, and this is drawing them to inner city locations.
Lifestyle Living is dedicated to creating the urban living solutions they are demanding.
Connectivity
Connectivity is an essential element in 21st century living and working environments. Lifestyle Living delivers urban living solutions that are designed to exploit the full potential of sophisticated communications.
For those residents who plan to work from home all or some of the time, or communicate extensively on a global basis, Triptych is ready for the foreseeable communications future.
